SHOWROOM TO PODIUM

Last saturday 17/10/09 saw the penultimate round of the MRO championships held at Thruxton. 2009 N G Road Racing 600cc champion Josh Day had an eventful meeting. His yamaha R6 blew an engine and another Yamaha R6 in Co-ordit colours was transported to the circuit from a showroom where it was on display. Josh has got the ride with the Co-ordit team in the national 600cc Superstock championship next season after winning the N G 600cc championship in 2009. In both races Josh had a wheel to wheel dice with Max Hunt and he led in the early stages of both but had to settle for a pair of second places just behind Hunt. Josh also set the fastest lap in the first 600cc race in a time of 1 minute 21.36 seconds and a speed of 104.24 mph. He followed this up with a 10th and 12th in the two powerbike races and was first 600cc finisher.
